MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE TO ENERGY PLANTS
TERMISA ENERGÍA has more than 20 years of experience developing projects with steam generation from waste incineration thus transforming waste into energy, a practice widely used in Europe.
This method of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) recovery represents, thanks to the newest emission control systems, one of the most efficient form of waste management and exploitation. Compared to the classic management system consisting of collection, treatment and use of landfills, the MSW plants achieve reductions of up to 90% of volume and up to 70% of weight of the waste treated.
The minimization of transport and handling, the prevention of fires and the reduction of methane emissions are some of the advantages of these plants, which make them key in a rationale strategy of environmental care and of quality of life improvement in cities.
